I'm a science fiction enthusiast (geek!) so looking at the sky, be they clouds, stars or a good storm is a habit. Nebula are things that dwarf our solar system, cathedrals of light that span lightyears. The vast dust clouds are where stars are born, nurseries for huge balls of gas that burn for billions of years. In painting terms there's a lot of subtlety to the techniques I used and it all changed shape several times before I was finished with it. Check out the YouTube time lapse here -
Tinkerbell goes back some way in my personal history, Peter Pan was one of the first films I watched on VHS (the big black tapes, if you're not familiar with the format). This image is a long-promised birthday present for a cousin, I'm happy to say that it has been well received, even though the wait for the picture was a few years...! Blizzard Entertainment creates iconic characters to populate their large, challenge-filled worlds. Valla is a prime example of a character that can survive and even thrive in the demon infested world of Diablo. As such she's also included in another game that brings all of Blizzard's characters together, Heroes of the Storm. For the first time in a long time I'm very happy with how a piece of art turned out, I captured the majority of the 20 hour process and set it to music, the video is below -
